About Us

Walnut Park Middle School – Social Justice/Service Learning is a dynamic LAUSD campus committed to academic excellence, equity, and student voice. As an AVID National Demonstration School and recipient of the California PBIS Silver Award, Walnut Park blends rigorous, standards-based instruction with a strong culture of belonging through restorative practices and recognition systems. A unique seven-period schedule ensures equitable access to electives, interventions, and enrichment, while programs like Social Justice, AVID, Robotics, and the Arts prepare students to lead and succeed in high school, college, and beyond.

We want to wish you and your loved ones a joyful and restful Thanksgiving! Please note that there will be no school from Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28 for Thanksgiving Break. Classes will resume on Monday, December 1.
